This is the official Loftus Family site for the April 2010 General Conference Breakfast of Champions. For those who are new: We have accepted the challenge to read every talk in the April, 2010 Ensign. In addition, we will select at least one quote from each talk and record it and a short reflection of why that quote is important to us. The Breakfast of Champions will be held in October, 2010 at IHOPs in Provo and Hillsboro.
"To access information from heaven, one must first have a firm faith & deep desire."
ReplyDelete-"really intends to follow the divine direction given."
1. faith that you will get an answer, desire & intent to follow through, no matter the answer.
2. study
"part of being prepared is to know & obey the relevant teachings of the Lord."
"a desire to follow the prophet requires much effort because the natural man knows very little of od & even less about His prophet."
"personal revelation can be honed to become spiritual discernment" (once a "devoted disciple"...which I think all of our family is...we go to church pray, study scriptures, read conference talks, work on making ourselves better (overcoming weaknesses) so that we can live with Heavenly Father again)
"Revelation need not all come mat once. It may be incremental." line upon line...
"For each of you to receive revelation unique to your own needs & responsibilities, certain guidelines prevail...'faith, hope, charity & love, with an eye single to the glory of God.'" We need to be living right & being in an atmosphere where the Spirit can inspire us.
