  1. MOM here:"The very opportunity for us to face adversity and affliction is part of the evidence of Their infinite love. God gave us the gift of living in mortality so that we could be prepared to receive the greatest of all the gifts of God, which is eternal life...to have that gift and to be given that trust, we must be transformed through making righteous choices where that is hard to do.' That just says it all. These trials we experience are gifts for us to learn, grow, prove we can make good choices, even when it is hard. I remember a quote from some lesson/talk I heard or read years ago : right is right even if you are the only one doing it.

  2. Another good quote Mom!
We will "be prepared for the trust of an endless posterity to teach and to lead through tests to be raised up to live forever in eternal life. It is clear that for us to have that gift and to be given that trust, we must be transformed through making righteous choices where that is hard to do. We are prepared for so great a trust by passing through trying and testing experiences in mortality. That education can come only as we are subject to trials while serving God and others for Him."
One of my tests/trials is trying to stay happy/positive/not grumpy when I'm tired or not feeling well. I saw a glimpse of being able to do this (overcoming) after having Michael. Now to figure out how to do that everytime. I guess I should fake it 'til I make it, which I'm good at doing around strangers, but not around those i love the most-my family. I made good headway when I told Rob I was biting my tongue to keep from saying something mean. I need to remember to say a prayer as soon as I feel grumpy- before I lose my temper. Also, praying for the Spirit each morning and listening to uplifing music will help.
